Introduction

This training course introduces the principles of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management Systems and how the three (3) respective standards of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 can be implemented.

By the end of this training course you will be able to:

  • Have a better understanding of the standards and terminology used
  • Understand how the process for implementation of the standards works
  • Understand your own specific role and responsibilities as well as other members of your team
  • Be familiar with tools and techniques for detecting and solving problems revealed during site inspections and audits
  • Be able to prepare for and assist with an independent certification assessment and surveillance visits
  • Develop a culture for continuous improvement within the organization

Training Methodology

The training course uses a range of approaches to learning, including experiential group activities, individual exercises, mini-case studies, and role plays. A key part of the learning process is sharing the differing experiences participants bring, as well as experimenting with some new techniques.

  • Verification, validation, monitoring, measurement, inspection and test activities specific to the project and the criteria for project acceptance
  • Records needed to provide evidence that the realization processes and resulting project meet requirements
  • Review of contents of course manual
